Wine tour One: “Wine”.

With the emphasis on our regions wines and the people who make them, it’s the experience as much as the journey.

Cornelia Creek Wines specialize in Aged Wines, first planted in 1998, all the vines are pruned by hand and are irrigated as required. It is a working farm with a hands-on approach.

Cape Horn Vineyard and riverside bar is that “little piece of paradise” located on the banks of the Murray river, shiraz was first planted in the late 1800’s to cater for the thriving river trade, now the locals and visitors enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and the wood fire pizzas, definitely has the “Wow” factor.

Morrisons’ Riverview Winery and Restaurant is located near the 1840’s site of Isaac Whites “Echuca Moama“ punt across the Murray river. Morrisons philosophy is simple and very effective: “Our team is dedicated to local produce with a balance of traditional and modern cookery.
We adapt to the seasons and use them to guide us keeping the menus fresh and interesting all year round.”

St Anne’s Winery is family owned and boasts 40 years’ experience in the industry. They have adopted Organic Cultivation Practices – allowing sheep to roam free in specific vineyard blocks to reduce the weed load and the need for sprays.

Wine tour Two: “Wine with more than a little food”.

With the emphasis on our regions wines and wineries and the people who make them, it’s the experience as much as the journey.

Echuca Moama Historical Society has achieved huge results for the growth of the district and their museum is a must see, organised tours with passionate people are able to give you the best and most accurate insight into the history of this region and a great way to gain an insight into the district before we head off.

The Great Aussie Beer Shed and Heritage Farm Museum is one of the most interesting and unique tourist attractions in Victoria with something for everyone to enjoy. Opened in 2003 and growing each year, this attraction is sure to surprise with the amount of passion and paraphernalia.

The Old School Winery and Meadery is a small, family-owned business located 31 km from Echuca Moama. “Our range of small-batch, artisanal meads (honey wines) includes both delicious traditional sweet & fortified meads, & our exciting & innovative contemporary-style dry & semi-sweet meads made from regional Australian honeys.”

Murray Gums Estate are the new kids on the block and see this as an advantage with their Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay -”We are not restrained by the traditional mindset and can go about implementing quality driven practices throughout the vineyard.”

Degustation Tour one: “Food with a little wine”

Junction Moama Bar and Restaurant, the location is arguably the showcase of the district when it comes to fine dining, “the perfect spot to enjoy sensational food, wine, cocktails and craft beer that showcases everything the region has to offer in a single, sophisticated setting”.

St Anne’s Winery is a pleasant way to finish off the day with delicacies of Echuca Cheese and locally handmade chocolates from The Echuca Chocolate Company.
